Music Monday: The Moody Blues – I Know You’re Out There Somewhere

It’s hard to believe that we are on the eve of the day I first met my husband – 17 years ago! How is that even possible?!

We actually “met” online in a chat room a few months prior to that. Yeah, it’s common to meet people online these days, but it wasn’t that common back in 1999. Oh the naysayers!! So many of them. Did we care? Not particularly. 🙂 Who gets the last laugh now? 😉

Music has always been an integral part of our relationship. It immediately was something we had in common and could spend hours discussing. Some days it seems like the *only* thing we have in common, but we still can spend hours talking about music.

The Moody Blues were one of the first bands we went to see together. We had the pleasure of seeing them four times before Ray retired from the band. This song is one of our favorites, particularly the third verse. Unless you are a Moody Blues fan, it’s quite likely you’ve never even heard the third verse before. It was cut out of the radio edit and isn’t even something they play live. That really disappointed me at their concerts.

Pay particular attention to the lyrics in the third verse. Good words to live by. 🙂
